We bumped down the canal about 15 miles until we reached Davis Lock. We docked well before noon and put the dinghy in and went for a spin about Sand lake. We also visited Jones Falls, which was the next lock down, where there were Parks Canada employees dressed in mid-1800 clothing and putting on exihibitions of weaving, blacksmithing, etc. We also waited out our first severe thunderstorm at Jones Falls for about 2 hours, but then, we bailed out the dinghy and zipped back the Davis, about a 6 mile stretch. There are 3 locks at Jones Falls, and the pic below shows the old wooden pipes that serve the locks from the dam. The next pic shows a quiet night at the lock.
